It has been years since I wrote, I have a new home in a new area, new soil and new climate. Nature keeps teaching me lessons and I keep listening. As I said I am in a new area, I moved to the beach, the soil here is SANDY. I have been planting some perinneals but I also love to discover the natural plants that are already here. Not controlling everything, but watching and waiting to see what treasures emerge from the natural landscape, then I can move them and propagate them to where I would like them or weed around them, after I have distinguished between the weeds and the treasures. In this process one of the treasures I have found is this plant that has bright pink flowers that is low growing. It has been hidden underneath the the more voracious weeds that have staked their claim all over the yard. they grow tall and hog the sun light. At the beginning of the growing season there were so many spouts it was over whelming to try to eliminate them. As the season has progress...
